Founded in 1990, ROSE HOUSE is the first brand in Taiwan to introduce the tradition of British afternoon tea. Established by renowned artist Teng-Hui Huang, the brand draws its inspiration from the rose in The Little Prince—a symbol of love, responsibility, and eternity. Rooted in this philosophy, ROSE HOUSE blends British afternoon tea culture with the aesthetics of traditional tea, creating a unique cross-cultural brand that unites tea and art.

 

Guided by the philosophy, “Let every cup of tea become a meaningful dialogue with life,” ROSE HOUSE has spent over three decades promoting British afternoon tea and fine teas from around the world, elevating tea into a refined lifestyle and cultural experience. With more than 35 years of professional tea-making expertise, the brand has developed a comprehensive production system encompassing tea gardens, blending techniques, brewing methods, and strict quality control. All teas are supervised by master tea artisans from Taiwan and abroad, resulting in elegant, well-balanced flavors. Many of its teas have received international recognition, including the iTQi Three-Star Award and the World Quality Gold Award, reflecting world-class standards.

 

The ROSE HOUSE Group operates several brands, including ROSE HOUSE, TAO TAO TEA, and ROSE HOUSE CAFÉ, and actively engages in cross-disciplinary collaborations. Through curated exhibitions at cultural landmarks such as the British Consulate at Takow and the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, the brand continues to promote tea culture, aesthetics, and refined lifestyles, establishing itself as one of Taiwan’s leading cultural and lifestyle brands.

 

Sustainability, cultural heritage, and education are central to the company’s values. In 2025, the ROSE HOUSE Group and its founder donated and developed a 7000-square-meter garden, the “Tunghai University – The Little Prince Rose Garden,” planting over 20,000 rose bushes to promote environmental sustainability, green aesthetics, and cultural education. In 2026, ROSE HOUSE was honored with the Grand Prize of Taichung City’s Top Ten Souvenir Awards, becoming a cultural emblem that represents the city’s identity and aesthetic spirit.
