Love・Dreams・Perseverance 

ROSE HOUSE was founded in 1990 by renowned artist Mr. Robert Huang. Inspired by French author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's The Little Prince, he named the brand "Rose" and introduced British afternoon tea culture to Taiwan, incorporating art and aesthetics to create a unique brand style. ROSE HOUSE includes Afternoon Tea Restaurant, TAOTAO Tea Drink system, ROSE HOUSE Café, and the British Consulate in Takao Cultural and Creative Park.

 

Mr. Robert Huang is the first Chinese artist whose rose oil painting works appeared on international VISA and Japan JCB card covers. He is also one of the designers for the royal wedding porcelain of Prince William with Aynsley. By integrating art into tea culture, he pioneered the intersection of tea and art and has continuously promoted the internationalization of Taiwan’s tea culture.

 

Over the past thirty years, ROSE HOUSE has collaborated with multiple tea masters, from selecting tea gardens to blending and roasting, achieving world-class standards. The brand’s tea products have won Michelin ITQI’s highest three-star international certification and the World Quality Evaluation Grand Prix Gold Award. These products are now sold in countries including the UK, Japan, Hong Kong, mainland China, the US, Canada, and Australia. ROSE HOUSE successfully merges British tea culture with Taiwanese tea style, infused with artistic elements, launching a new journey in the world of tea.

 

The core values of the ROSE HOUSE brand are "love" and "dreams," maintaining a commitment to art and quality. In gratitude to society, Mr. Huang generously donated a rose garden to his alma mater, Tunghai University, as a gift for its 70th anniversary. He hopes this rose garden will become a spiritual sanctuary for students, symbolizing the transmission of love and the continuation of dreams.
