Founded in 1990 by artist Mr. Teng-Hui Huang, Rose House is a pioneering brand that introduced the British afternoon tea culture to Taiwan. Inspired by the symbolic rose in The Little Prince, Mr. Huang chose the rose as the heart of the brand, blending the serenity of Eastern tea traditions with the elegance of Western aesthetics to create a brand that seamlessly fuses tea, art, and cultural creativity.

 

For over three decades, Rose House has remained true to its mission: to make every cup of tea a dialogue with life. The brand elevates tea from a daily ritual to a refined lifestyle and cultural experience.

 

With 35 years of experience, Rose House has established a professional tea-making system, refining every detail from tea sourcing and blending techniques to brewing methods. All teas are overseen by veteran tea masters, each offering a unique flavor and depth. The brand has earned numerous international accolades, including the Michelin-level iTQi 3-star certification and the Monde Selection Gold Award for quality.

 

The Rose House Group includes the brands ROSE HOUSE,TAO TAO TEA and ROSE HOUSE CAFÉ, as well as partnerships with cultural landmarks such as the British Consulate at Takao Cultural Park and the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts. In 2025, on the eve of Tunghai University’s 70th anniversary, Mr. Teng-Hui Huang donated the “Tunghai–Rose House Garden,” a rose garden featuring over 20,000 rose bushes, to his alma mater. This meaningful gesture reflects his commitment to ecological stewardship and the promotion of green aesthetics. More than a tribute to nature, the garden embodies the enduring spirit of The Little Prince that inspires the Rose House brand, while also exemplifying the company’s dedication to local engagement and cultural legacy through corporate social responsibility.
